Chuao Chocolatier is voluntarily recalling a single production of Potato Chip mini bar .39oz/11 gram LOT 4022 because some packages may contain undeclared hazelnut.

This recall is limited to one lot code (4022) of the Chuao Chocolatier Potato Chip mini chocolate bar (.39 oz. bar), which was sold nationwide (excluding HI and AK) in retail stores and online in the United States. No other Chuao Chocolatier products are affected by this recall.

A picture of the consumer package label is shown below. The label does reference “Manufactured in a facility that uses tree nuts and wheat on shared equipment.”

The recall was initiated after it was discovered hazelnuts were inadvertently added to the product during manufacturing and the lot produced was distributed in packaging that does not reveal the presence of hazelnuts. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by cross contamination on a piece of share equipment.

Consumers who are sensitive or have allergies to hazelnut should not eat this product and should discard any product they may have. The statement on Katz Gluten Free Oat Bread and Oat Rolls indicating that the brocha for this product is 'shehakol' is not correct since these products are made with oats. The correct brocha is ''amotzi'.

April 29, 2024 from the FDA:

H-E-B is voluntarily issuing a recall for 12-count packages of 3-ounce cups of Creamy Creations ice cream in select flavors for potential metal. The affected products were distributed to all H-E-B stores in Texas and Mexico and Central Market, Joe V’s Smart Shop, and Mi Tienda stores.

To date, there have been no injuries related to this recall. All product related to this recall has been removed from store shelves. H-E-B is working to have the products back on shelves as soon as possible. Customers who purchased the products should not consume the items and can return them to the store for a full refund.

The UPC and code dates can be found on the back of product’s outer bag, not the individual cups.

Gibson Farms recalled Organic Light Halves and Pieces shelled walnuts because Gibson Farms received information that they may have the potential to be contaminated with E. Coli 0157:H7.

The Organic Light Halves and Pieces shelled walnuts were sold to distributors located in CA and WA. Gibsons Farms Organic Light Halves and Pieces shelled walnuts were sold in bulk boxes in Net Wt. 25 lbs quantities and can be identified by lot 3325-043 & 3341-501 with expiration dates 5/21/25 & 6/7/25.

Gibson Farms, Inc. has voluntarily recalled the product(s) after being notified by the CDC of 12 recorded illnesses allegedly linked to the consumption of organic halves and pieces shelled walnuts. A full investigation is currently under way to determine the potential source of the contamination.

Gibson Farms requests consignees to hold and discontinue selling their existing stock of lot 3325-043 and lot 3341-501 and return any remaining inventory of the recalled products to our local warehouse Gibson Farms 1190 Buena Vista Rd Hollister Ca 95023. If you have distributed or sold this product to other retailers, please notify your clients as to the status of this product. Any retailers that have received the recalled walnuts are recommended to do the following:

• Retailers that received recalled products and do not clean and sanitize bulk bins between refilling them, should discard the contents of the bin and clean and sanitize it before refilling.
• Retailers that received recalled product from a distributor but do not know the brand or lot code information, you should hold product, sanitize your bins, and contact your supplier.

April 19, 2024 from the FDA:

Infinite Herbs LLC of Miami, Florida, is expanding its April 18th recall to include Melissa's brand fresh organic basil in 2.0 oz ( 96 packages, UPC 0 45255 14142 9) and 4.0 oz packages (24 packages, UPC 0 45255 14439 0) available for sale at Dierberg's stores in Illinois and Missouri between February 10th and 20th (see photos below). This product is part of the lot that was previously recalled and, therefore, has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

Please note that this recalled product is outdated and no longer available for sale. Still, consumers are urged to check their refrigerators and freezers and not consume the recalled organic basil if they have it.
